Project Description

This project includes a renovation and expansion work of a nice villa for a young couple living close to Bari, Puglia. Lean, spotless surfaces are featured in a contemporary atmosphere. In some cases, Ermetika’s framless doors have been covered with wallpaper, which lets you create totally customised spaces. The wide glass walls continuously reflect natural lights inside the place. The result is a warm apartment, with a strong character, but also with innovative and functional features.

Who's the designer ?Within Rutassociati Studio, Architect Roberto Ruta designs and manages renovation works for houses, villas, buildings, shops, showrooms and industrial factories. He handles the Interior Design aspect, dealing with the project and the furniture for residential and commercial spaces.

What is your main focus when you start a new project?
Every customer has their story and every story is different from the other. The approach to the projects aims at getting to know exactly this story. Therefore, there will never be a repeated project, because it will be the result of a new story, always different from the previous one.

In your opinion, what is the role of doors within a project?
The door is not a separating, divisive object. It is something that forewarns, that prepares you to an emotion that gets real every time you open it. Absolute Swing doors have no horizontal beam, therefore they show a continuity in horizontal surfaces, once opened.
