Flush sliding doors

IT SLIDES INTO THE WALL, AND CLOSES IN A SINGLE LINE WITH IT.

Ermetika flush sliding doors combine two advantages: the door leaf slides and disappears inside the wall, while the aluminium frame stays hidden in the wall, with no jambs or architraves. The result is a clean passage, typical of every flush door, that frees up valuable space where a hinged door would get in the way. Every flush sliding door is available as a single or double leaf, for masonry and plasterboard walls. From Absolute Evo, also made to measure or motorised, to the Absolute EvoKit counterframe kit and Absolute Energy, you will find the right solution for every room in the home.

FLUSH POCKET DOOR: SINGLE LEAF, DOUBLE LEAF OR GLASS

The first step in choosing your flush pocket door is the leaf configuration. A single leaf is perfect for bathrooms, bedrooms and hallways; a double leaf, with two leaves that disappear on either side of the opening, is ideal for wide openings between kitchen and living room. If you want light to flow from one room to another, choose a glass flush sliding door with the Glass Kit for single and double leaf.

Flush or traditional pocket door: why choose it?

A flush sliding door meets two needs in a single gesture: space and aesthetics. Compared with a hinged door, it needs no swing area for the leaf, and compared with a traditional pocket door it eliminates jambs and architraves. The opening reads as a thin cut in the wall: when the door is open, you simply cannot see it. That is why people often talk about invisible flush sliding doors: the leaf truly disappears into the wall.

Compared with surface-mounted sliding doors, the leaf does not slide in plain sight along the wall: it retracts into the wall thickness and leaves the surface free for pictures, shelves or furniture. With no visible frames or tracks, cleaning is easier too and the home immediately looks tidier.

A flush pocket door works in every room of the home: in bathrooms and utility rooms it recovers valuable space, in narrow corridors and hallways it eliminates the bulk of the leaf, in walk-in wardrobes it keeps the passage clear. In the living area, a double-leaf interior flush sliding door separates kitchen and living room when needed and disappears when you want one open space.

Flush pocket doors are also one of the most requested solutions for plasterboard walls, in both new builds and renovations: the counterframe integrates quickly and lets you redesign spaces cleanly.

How to choose the right flush sliding door

To choose the most suitable flush sliding door, start from the wall: masonry or plasterboard, and the space available next to the opening to house the pocket counterframe. Then define the configuration, single or double leaf, and consider whether you need a made-to-measure or motorised version such as Absolute Evo Motorised, which opens and closes the door automatically with a silent motor.

Next, consider the finish: painted like the wall for an invisible effect, white lacquered or in a RAL colour, covered with wallpaper or microcement finishes, or in glass to let light through. If you are looking for cheap flush sliding doors, consider the Absolute EvoKit kit system paired with a primed leaf to be painted like the wall.

Accessories matter too: the Easy-Stop AB-Dual soft-close kit guides the leaf to the end of its travel without slamming, the 120 kg trolley kit handles the heaviest leaves with ease and the aluminium floor threshold profile finishes the passage. To complete the project, pair it with the Absolute Rush flush skirting board.
