Project Description

The project focused on designing the interior finishes for the waiting rooms and administrative offices of a dental practice, with the aim of creating a welcoming and relaxing environment for patients. The choice of cobalt blue – a shade that has long evoked a sense of peace and tranquillity – helps to instil a sense of calm throughout the space.

The spatial organisation of the rooms is enhanced by the alternation of different textured surfaces. The furnishings, such as the cylindrical velvet pouffes, contrast harmoniously with the light oak vertical slatted wooden surfaces, creating a refined balance between cool and warm tones. The passageways are characterised by backlit surfaces and cobalt blue walls, which interact with tone-on-tone doors and radiating elements, reinforcing the visual continuity and overall harmony of the space.

Who are the designers?

Architect Loredana Marvulli, founder of MeS Studio 327 in Bari, heads an architecture and engineering firm specialising in residential, commercial and public projects. The practice combines tradition and innovation, integrating advanced technologies and natural materials to create spaces that reflect the essence of those who live in them. With a focus on quality of living and attention to detail, every project conveys emotion and authenticity. As lovers of surprise effects, the practice uses flush-to-wall solutions, such as Ermetika doors, to conceal spaces and impress with elegance.

What is the most important focus when you start a new project?

The most important focus, whenever we start a new project, is always on identifying the client’s specific needs and the challenges inherent in the space to be redesigned. We concentrate on the details that always make the difference, making every element unique; each element then makes the entire project unique.

In your opinion, what role can a door play within a project?

The primary role of doors is to separate the rooms within a home, providing privacy, but at the same time they act as a hub and a passageway from one room to another.

What prompted you to choose Ermetika products?

This is why we chose Ermetika doors: because, as well as separating rooms and providing privacy, they offer elegance, robustness and excellent physical properties.
